Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and overall business success. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of supply chain best practices, and a proven ability to drive process improvements and manage complex operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Operations Management:
    • Develop, implement, and refine supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service excellence.
    • Oversee daily operations of the supply chain division, ensuring seamless execution of all supply chain activities.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, inventory levels, on-time delivery, and cost per unit.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all supply chain functions, leveraging data analytics and best practices.
    • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management:
    • Oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Evaluate vendor performance and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure supplier compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Logistics & Distribution:
    • Manage and optimize all inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
    • Ensure efficient inventory management, balancing stock levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs.
    • Coordinate with logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of shipping and delivery routes.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain operations team.
    • Provide clear direction, set performance objectives, and conduct regular performance reviews.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance, to align supply chain activities with business needs.
    • Participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, operational costs, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
    • Utilize data analysis to forecast demand, manage resources, and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of [X] years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a significant portion in an operations or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and distribution.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, best practices, and industry trends.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and performance metric tracking.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of international logistics and customs regulations.
